Recent Case: Alpaca Enucleation

We received a call from a concerned owner whose two-month-old alpaca had been kicked in the head by their donkey. The injury appeared severe, with a possible ruptured eye. The distressed owner, fearing the worst, inquired about the possibility of euthanasia.
After assessing the situation, we offered an alternative solution and explained that if they were comfortable with the alpaca living with one eye, our team could perform an enucleation (eye removal surgery). This surgery would allow the alpaca to recover and lead a healthy life. The owner agreed to proceed with the surgery.

Our team is pleased to report that the surgery was successful, and the alpaca is expected to make a full recovery. It is always rewarding to provide a second chance for our beloved animals and see them thrive despite the odds!
