Summer Accidents

Summer is prime time for cuts and scrapes. With more turnout, active play and flies causing irritation, even a small hazard can lead to a significant wound.

Help reduce the risk by regularly checking your property for:
• Broken or damaged fencing
• Sharp edges on gates, feeders, and trailers
• Debris hidden in tall grass
• Areas where horses may rub to relieve fly irritation
• Pasture conditions that could contribute to injuries

Some wounds require stitches, while others may need bandaging, antibiotics or ongoing treatment to heal properly.
