1 in 3 Horses Tested Positive; Cushing’s Disease Findings – Skillman Veterinary Services, Indianapolis, Indiana

Last week, we offered discounted testing for Cushing’s Disease / PPID (Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction). Our team tested 11 horses between the ages of 14 and 28. Of those, nearly one in three (4 out of 11) tested positive.

These findings highlight just how common this condition can be, even in horses that may not show obvious signs. If you suspect your horse could be at risk, we encourage you to take advantage of our year-round testing services.
