Local Veterinarians Collaborate for Educational Event at Skillman Veterinary Services
Continued education - Identifying early stages of snyovitis.
Skillman Veterinary Services hosted an educational event for fellow equine veterinarians. Dr. Craig Niblett from Texas led the event sponsored by Arthramid. He provided invaluable insights and demonstrated advanced techniques for viewing joints with ultrasound.
The focus was on identifying early stages of synovitis, which is the inflammation of the joint lining synovium that can cause osteoarthritis over time. Dr. Niblett, who works for Arthramid, explained how its use in the joint can help steer the course of early and end-stage osteoarthritis cases to help extend a joint’s lifespan.
Hosting equine medical specialists fosters a collaborative learning environment where veterinarians can gain access to the latest research, techniques and advancements in equine medicine. This direct interaction with experts, like Dr. Niblett, enhances the practical skills of local veterinarians, allowing them to provide more effective and informed care for their patients.
Providing a safe and accessible facility for clients and our vet-med colleagues has been a dream come true for clinic owner, Dr. Natalie Skillman. The SVS team is excited about future events and is eager to continue our education.
